 Job Summary:

The Divisional Manager has overall responsibility for the effective delivery of security services in the respective Division and for ensuring the profitability targets are achieved through Revenue Growth, Cost Management and Customer Satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all client contracts within the Division are current. The Divisional Manager must alert Head Office of the need to renew contracts within three (3) months of expiry.
  • Monitoring location revenues against contract sums
  • Generating leads for new contracts or the expansion of existing contracts towards achieving assigned targets as determined in the annual business plan
  • Reviewing Standing Orders to ensure that they are relevant and update where required.
  • Reviewing the Nominal Roll in the context of manpower requirements and providing information to Human Resources on manpower needs
  • To ensure that an average of 85% client satisfaction levels are maintained at all times and to develop and monitor systems to maintain same
  • To act as the liaison between the Company and its clients and ensure that they are visited/engaged at regular intervals
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments and making recommendations towards continuous improvement
  • To minimize liability issues for the Company through ensuring that the appropriate PPE is worn at all times; that the minimum training related to the contract is conducted and to ensure that all issues impacting negligence are investigated
  • To oversee and implement performance management of all employees within the Division.
  • To provide coaching and ensure the development of the Divisional supervisory team
  • To provide regular administrative reports to Executive Management as required.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or Security Administration and Management
  • Computer Literacy as evidenced by a certificate from an accredited institution
  • At least 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years must be at a senior supervisory/managerial level in a similar role in the security industry
  • Any combination of relevant qualifications and experience may be considered

  • Strong business mindset focused on profitability through business growth and expense control
  • Ability to provide coaching and develop direct reports
  •  Experience with dealing with I/R and HR issues 
  • Strong leadership, managerial and motivational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work with and through people
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Will require working flexible hours   
  • Will require working beyond traditional weekday hours and on weekends and public holidays
  • Will require traveling to various locations on a regular basis
