We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of our client, for an exciting role as Divisional CFO of a Manufacturing conglomerate in growth mode.
Location: Barbados (with oversight across multiple jurisdictions in the region)
This executive role will be pivotal in shaping financial strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring regulatory compliance across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy: Define and execute enterprise-wide financial strategies that align with corporate objectives and support sustainable growth.
Accounting & Reporting: Oversee accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and local statutory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
Leadership: Inspire and develop a high-performing Finance team, fostering accountability and collaboration.
Board Responsibilities: Sit on the Board of Directors and advise on financial implications of strategic initiatives and market trends.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders to support financing and governance activities.
Analytics & Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes, leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making.
Risk & Compliance: Direct enterprise risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and oversee financial audits to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Communication: Present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Change Management: Champion transformation initiatives and continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
IT & Systems: Drive digital innovation by leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Chartered Accountant: ACCA, CPA or CGA
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
MBA or Master’s in Finance would be an asset
At least 10 years’ experience operating as a senior Finance leader, operating in multiple jurisdictions.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial best practices.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
While not required, bilingual ability (English/Spanish, English/French) and experience leading IT teams would be helpful an asset for the candidate’s future development.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and resilience.
