Disc Jockey

The Enterprise by IR on behalf of Mystic Mountain is seeking to hire a Disc Jockey to join their team.

This person will be responsible for creating a lively and memorable atmosphere for guests by serving as the House DJ, and supporting guests during ride operation shifts.

The House DJ is crucial to the success of Mystic Mountain, as they ensure that guests have an engaging and entertaining experience through music and interactive activities.

Key deliverables include:

• Creation of an energetic and entertaining atmosphere through music
• Playing a variety of music genres to cater to diverse guest preferences, whilst highlighting Jamaican music.
• Engaging guests of all ages in interactive activities to enhance their experience at Mystic Mountain.
• Providing Ride Operator support to the team when not performing or scheduled as House DJ. While doing so, ensuring proper Guest Experience Management, Safety & Emergency, and Maintenance & Administration.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Playlist Creation:
  • Develop playlists tailored for different times of the day, including opening, peak, and closing sets.
• Equipment Preparation:
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is in working order before performances.
• Crowd Interaction:
  • Engage with the audience, take song requests, and respond to audience feedback to enhance their experience.
• Beatmatching & Transitions:
  • Seamlessly mix tracks using beatmatching techniques to maintain a continuous and lively atmosphere.
• Event Coordination:
  • Work with event coordinators and management to align music selections with themed events and special promotions.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by management- Including Ride Operation duties.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Certification in ride operations.
• Required Competencies:
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Physical stamina
• Knowledge of DJ software
• Sound Engineering knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent in a varying field
