Property: Atlantic Suites Hotel (currently Pegasus Suites & Corporate Center)
Position Summary
Atlantic Suites Hotel, an all suites hotel in Georgetown, Guyana comprising of 80 suites, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales with Administrative Responsibility to lead the property during a two-year affiliation and transition phase.
The hotel, currently operating as Pegasus Suites & Corporate Center, will soon be renamed Atlantic Suites Hotel as part of a strategic brand transition. A new Hyatt tower is also under construction and, upon completion within two years, will be merged with Atlantic Suites to form Hyatt Regency Georgetown.
During this transition period, the successful candidate will oversee sales and administrative responsibility for the current operation, including marketing, while helping prepare the property for alignment with Hyatt standards. This role is intended to develop into a General Manager position when the new tower is completed.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all sales efforts for rooms, corporate accounts and group business
Oversee the administrative management of the hotel’s 80 suites
Support the property’s transition from Atlantic Suites Hotel to Hyatt Regency Georgetown
Help align the hotel’s commercial and operational practices with Hyatt standards
Work closely with ownership and department heads to drive revenue, service quality, and operational readiness
Provide leadership with a view toward future promotion to General Manager
Qualifications
A Professional Hotel Management Certification
Minimum 5 Years’ experience in hotel management at a senior level
Strong leadership and administrative ability
Familiarity with Hyatt Brand standards or branded hotel operations preferred
Experience in rooms sales, corporate business, and hotel operations
Strong communication, organizational, and commercial skills
