The Director, Recruitment and Enrollment Management is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the institution's strategic enrollment management efforts and is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented enrollment strategies and tactics.

The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of:

DIRECTOR, RECRUITMENT & ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Director, Recruitment and Enrollment Management is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the institution strategic enrolment management efforts and responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive, action-oriented enrollment strategies and tactics that will position both in recruitment and retention to meet the needs of prospective, admitted, deposited and enrolled undergraduate, graduate students and alumni for UCC and UCC Global.  The Director, Recruitment and Enrollment Management, will also collaborate with other departments to provide a broad range of independent and complex recruitment and enrollment services. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develops and implements the university’s strategic and comprehensive recruitment, enrollment and marketing plan across the institution.
  2. Manages the budget for the office of Recruitment and Enrollment Management and oversees utilization of all budgets in the division, directing changes as needed to maximize effectiveness.
  3. Reviews and assesses processes established for attracting and retaining a culturally diverse student body comprised of residential and commuter undergraduate students, non-traditional students and graduate students.
  4. Work with the university to provide academic support programmes that enhance the probability of students’ academic success and a seamless successful programme of student retention that complements and improves retention and enrollment.
  5. Assist with the planning and attainment of regional campus recruitment, enrollment and retention goals.  In collaboration with the regional Director, implement and evaluate the marketing and outreach efforts relative to the immediate and long-term goals for admission and enrollment.
  6. Updates and coordinates yearly surveys concerning recruiting which includes demographic and statistical information about prospects, admits and enrollees.
  7. Coordinate the development and execution of all recruiting publications, videos, PowerPoint’s, print and e-communication strategies designed to interest students in the university’s programme and recruitment of student to undergraduate and graduate programs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to represent the University at public forums
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in strategic enrollment management and ability to effective implement a strategic enrollment management plan
  • Knowledge of University student development and sensitivity to student needs
  • Ability to developing and managing budgets
  • Ability to plan, analyze and evaluate
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex problems

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least a Master in marketing, business or related filed with five (5) years related experience  
  • Training and or successful administrative executive level leadership either within higher education and or comparable professional executive level experience in business, marketing, advertising or sales management
