The Director of Laundry Services will be resposible for overseeing all aspects of the laundry operations. He/she will lead a team of professionals to ensure the efficient and effective processing of laundry while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Specific requirements/duties of the position include:
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives for all laundry departments to ensure operational efficiency and quality.
  • Developing and implementing training programmes to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Continuously evaluating and enhancing laundry processes, workflows and equipment needs to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Setting performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Overseeing inventory control, including ordering, receiving and the tracking of linen and laundry supplies.
  • Overseeing compliance with safety, hygiene and quality control standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Developing and managing the overall laundry budget and optimizing operational costs while delivering quality service.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, ensuring cost-effective procurement of laundry supplies.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors to resolve any issues and explore new opportunities.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance laundry service.
  • Preparing reports with the relevant performance indicators, submitted to Corporate Director

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in laundry operations management, with a minimum of [10] years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of laundry equipment, chemicals and processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laundry management software (e.g. RFID systems).
