Our client is seeking a forward-thinking leader dedicated to cultivating talent and promoting a culture of ongoing professional development.  An accomplished individual with expertise in people development, committed to shaping workforce strategy, leading impactful learning initiatives, advancing leadership excellence, and facilitating cultural transformation, ensuring access to world-class learning opportunities.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, the Director will lead the transformation of the training portfolio to design, implement, and oversee innovative learning strategies that support the growth and success of the employees.  Collaborate with universities, training providers and professional associations to assess organisational needs, develop tailored training programmes, and nurture a pipeline of high-potential talent to meet current and future business goals as follows:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and talent development strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Develop and manage a strategic learning and development plan including development of training budget. 
  • Develop processes and policies for the training department.
  • Lead a team of learning professionals to deliver best-in-class training, leadership development, and succession planning programmes.
  • Assess training needs and analyse skills gaps across all levels and implement programme design.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional development.
  • Leverage technology and digital platforms to enhance learning experiences.•Measure and report on the effectiveness of development initiatives.

Preferred Profile

  • Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Adult and Continuing Education, Teaching or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Sound understanding of LMS, adult learning methodologies, e-learning tools and training evaluation models.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale learning programmes.
  • Executive presence and highly developed public speaking and presentation skills.
