Our client is looking for a Director who will play a key role in developing and executing the anti-corruption strategy while promoting ethical behaviour throughout all sectors. This candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to integrity, transparency, and good governance, and possess strategic abilities to implement effective and efficient corruption prevention initiatives, programmes, and engagements.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Board of Commissioners, this role coordinates national anti-corruption strategy development, engages local and international stakeholders, and promotes a proactive culture of compliance and trust in the Commission's initiatives.  Key duties include:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Jamaica’s national anti-corruption strategy.
  • Design and execute robust corruption prevention programmes and policies across government ministries, agencies, and public bodies.
  • Engage, coordinate, and build strong partnerships with local and international stakeholders, including civil society, private sector, and multilateral organisations.
  • Oversee training and awareness campaigns to promote ethical standards and public sector integrity.
  • Advise senior government officials on emerging trends, risks, and best practices in anti-corruption and governance.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures and stakeholder engagement efforts.
  • Create codes of conduct and advise public bodies on anti-corruption best practices.

Preferred Profile

  • Postgraduate degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Governance, Law, or similar field.
  • First degree in Public Administration, Public Sector Management, Law, Governance, General Management or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in anti-corruption, compliance, governance, or public sector reform.
  • Formal training and hands-on experience in Anti-Corruption, Compliance, or Governance.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and strategic leadership skills with a strong understanding of Jamaica’s anti-corruption laws and institutions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience with international anti-corruption bodies is an advantage.
  • Formal training/certification and demonstrated experience in public speaking and delivering presentations.
