The NIS is seeking a highly experienced executive to serve as Director / Chief Executive Officer. This role is the principal executive authority of the institution and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, safeguarding the sustainability of the National Insurance Fund, and driving the ongoing transformation of the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the development and implementation of multi-year strategic plans
Ensuring financial stewardship and sustainability of the National Insurance Fund
Driving digital modernization and operational efficiency
Leading human capital development, succession planning, and institutional culture initiatives
Strengthening enterprise risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks
Engaging stakeholders and maintaining public trust and transparency
Acting as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and management
The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the institution operates efficiently, prudently, and in alignment with national social protection objectives.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, Law, Management, or a related discipline
Minimum of ten (10) years of executive-level leadership experience
Preferred Executive Experience:
Proven leadership of a complex institution (public, statutory, financial, pension, insurance, banking, regulatory, or multilateral organization)
Experience overseeing significant financial assets or investment portfolios
Demonstrated success in institutional transformation initiatives
Strong governance experience working with Boards of Directors
Experience managing enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory compliance systems
Experience in social security administration, pension systems, insurance, public finance, or financial regulation
