The Digital Press Operator is responsible for operating digital printing presses, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Preparation and Execution
Review Job Tickets: Review the Work Order to clearly understand the job specifications and material requirements before starting work on the job.
Material Acquisition: Obtain the required materials for production from the stock room or work-in-progress, ensuring that the Warehouse Requisition Form (DR7/19C) is accurately completed and approved.
Equipment Setup: Set up all necessary equipment according to the job specifications and established Company guidelines and safety procedures.
Operate Digital Presses: Operate digital presses in accordance with equipment operating procedures to print jobs or test prints according to specifications detailed in the Work Order.
Material Loading: Load the material, print, and off-load jobs.
Quality Assurance and Documentation
Proof Verification: Reference printed proofs against electronic proofs for correct content and ensure G7 Forms are completed.
Production Information: Ensure that all production information, including material used, associated problems, and solutions, are documented in an accurate and timely manner on the Work Order.
Data Entry: Enter production information into the Production Terminal of the Cyrious Software at the end of each job.
Sample Storage: Ensure that customer-approved samples are provided and stored for future reference.
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Equipment Cleaning: Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures.
Troubleshooting: Inform Production Supervisor of any problems encountered and assistmaintenances team with troubleshooting.
Degree/Diploma and major if applicable:
Technical certification or diploma in digital printing or a related field is preferred.
Required hands-on, technical or other types of training to perform the job:
Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
Working with a variety of chemicals and chemistry including UV light curing system.
Good Mathematics skills
Must be willing to work on a shift basis and overtime.
Ability to frequently lift 50+ lbs
Stand for prolonged periods of time
Must be willing to work within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in similar printing manufacturing environments.
