Position Summary
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and digitally fluent Digital Marketing / PR Coordinator to support our hotel’s marketing and guest communication strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the hotel's digital channels, content creation, social media engagement, and PR initiatives. This role plays a vital part in driving bookings, increasing brand visibility, and enhancing guest loyalty through compelling digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Online Presence
- Maintain and enhance the hotel's websites, microsites, and booking portals, ensuring accurate, up-to-date content and imagery.
- Implement SEO strategies and manage Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising campaigns to maximize direct bookings and reduce reliance on third-party platforms.
- Analyze web traffic and digital campaign performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools; provide insights to the Sales and Revenue Management teams.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity across all digital touchpoints.
Content Creation & Social Media Management
- Develop and execute engaging content (text, graphics, video) across social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
- Manage content calendars and schedule posts using platforms such as Hootsuite or similar.
- Capture and edit photo and video content to showcase guest experiences, hotel features, events, and promotions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather content ideas and support operational campaigns (e.g., spa, dining, events).
Email Marketing & CRM
- Design and manage guest email marketing campaigns using tools like Mailchimp.
- Maintain guest databases, segment lists for targeted communication, and align email campaigns with seasonal promotions and loyalty programs.
- Coordinate with the Revenue and Front Office teams to maximize guest re-engagement and repeat bookings.
Public Relations & Brand Communication
- Draft press releases and distribute to local and international media outlets as needed.
- Assist with influencer outreach, media site inspections, and PR events.
- Ensure all communication reflects the hotel’s brand tone and values.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing or PR, ideally within the hospitality, hotel, or travel industry.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar); familiarity with Adobe Dreamweaver is an asset.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Canva, and other content design tools.
- Hands-on experience with hotel CRM systems and booking engines; knowledge of GDS/IDS channels and online travel agencies (OTAs) is highly preferred.
- Proficient in digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
- Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and performance marketing best practices.
