DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

BACKGROUND

The Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) in its quest to promote, assist and facilitate the efficient development of tourism and Barbados’ tourism product, is seeking to recruit an exceptionally skilled individual to fill the position of Digital Marketing Manager.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Manager provides strategic leadership in advancing the organization’s digital marketing capabilities. This role is responsible for integrating data, technology, and analytics to deliver personalized, measurable and compliant digital marketing initiatives. The incumbent will collaborate across departments, government agencies, tourism boards and industry stakeholders to strengthen the Barbados Brand’s digital presence.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital data and technology strategy.
  • Integrate marketing technologies, data systems, and digital processes to deliver measurable impact.
  • Plan, manage and optimize digital campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Oversee CRM/CDP and marketing automation platforms.
  • Manage website, social media, SEO and content performance.
  • Monitor digital trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity.
  • Manage relationships with digital agencies, technology vendors and media partners.
  • Partner with analytics teams to define KPIs, build dashboards and generate performance insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, government ministries, tourism boards and industry stakeholders.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual performance reports as required.
  • Manage budgets and procurement processes.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the digital marketing team.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies, privacy laws and ethical data practices.

 SUMMARY OF KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or data analytics leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in managing MarTech/AdTech ecosystems, including CRM, CDP, marketing automation platforms, analytics and data management.
  • Experience across digital channels, including social, paid search, display, video and SEO/content.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of applications and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Funnel, AdVerity).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital data architecture, API integrations, and analytics frameworks.
  • Experience managing budgets, procurement and vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, planning, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and exercise independent judgment.
  • Good understanding of government policy, priorities and issues affecting tourism.
  • Awareness of global tourism trends, international tourism markets, and the Barbados tourism industry.
  • Fluency in English and working knowledge of another language would be advantageous.
