Developer

The Software Developer maintains and enhances in-house applications, handling coding, documentation, bug fixes, and system modifications based on business user requests.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

Service Excellence

1. Ensures attainment of all premier service delivery standards, timelines and service by responding to technical help desk queries within the given timelines.
2. Meeting set deadlines for development of additional functionality within supported applications.

Technical Support

1. Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.
2. Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
3. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
4. Document and maintain a library of source code changes and modifications in accordance with industry best practices using industry standard tools as approved by the company.
5. Refactor code base to utilize newer code languages in accordance with migration paths set out by current code technologies.
6. Test, Apply and Maintain application patches for security and errors.
7. Implement and maintain a testing environment for development work.

Reporting

1. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of company deployed and any other software.
2. Research and Report on industry trends on products on which the company’s applications are built on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc Degree or certification in Computer Science, IT or Computing field
• 2 - 3 years practical experience.
• Demonstrate software development experience using Microsoft .NET® platform.
• Experience in database architecture and design.

 Desirable:

• Microsoft SQL Server experience will be an asset.
• Cross platform development experience will be an asset (Java, iOS, Andriod)Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agents into processing workflows will be an asset.
