JOB SUMMARY
The Deputy Finance Manager is responsible for leading finance and risk management, and the development of financial strategy and execution. The incumbent plans, organizes, directs and manages the fiscal operations of the company; develops, implements, and interprets financial policies and procedures; ensures that financial policies and procedures are in accordance with applicable laws, requirements, and professional accounting and reporting practices; oversees the preparation of complex reports pertaining to financial planning, budget projections and ensures the fiscal integrity of company assets; manages the functions of accounting, budgeting, and revenue planning; monitors and evaluates the effect of legal and procedural changes related to accounting, fiscal reporting and related functions and performs supervisory duties including hiring and training staff, assigning work and conducting performance evaluations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead financial and risk management operations and develop financial strategy, planning, modeling and reporting
- Lead all initiatives related to debt and equity and project financing
- Collaborate with audit and tax advisors and financial institutions
- Manage investor relation
- Devise and implement policies and procedures for fiscal and budgetary planning and control;
- Analyze and evaluate complex accounting problems;
- Analyze financial and accounting records and reports;
- Prepare and present clear and concise correspondence and reports including detailed financial reports;
- Interpret and apply rules and regulations governing the methods of operations of the court;
- Understand and interface between electronic data processing and the accounting functions;
- Supervise a staff of professional, technical and clerical personnel;
- Plan and direct the work of others.
- Manages and oversees accounting functions.
- Supervises and schedules staff in organization support operations.
- Assists Finance Director in staffing decisions in the Finance Department.
- Conducts Employee Performance evaluations.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters in Accounting or Finance
- Seven (7) or more years’ experience in construction/energy/utility industries with finance experience
- Experience developing strategic plans and executing them in a high growth/entrepreneurial company
- Significant experience with new project finance structures

TYPICAL WORKING TIME
The incumbent’s normal work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. However, the incumbent is on-call.
