  Job Summary

Reporting to the Commercial Team Leader, the Demand Specialist is responsible for increasing the demand of distributed products from our parent companies Pepsi-Cola Jamaica and Redstripe (Heineken). The Demand Specialist will support the strategic execution of marketing initiatives through the understanding of PiCOS (Picture of Success) and customer needs to leverage product sales and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent’s key role is to drive product sales for assigned customer clusters. The Demand Specialist will also be responsible for leading branding and promotions of products at events.  

 

   Major Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized advice to assigned customers with the goal of increasing the demand of the brands he/she represents.
  • Leads the process of the price compliance agenda to ensure mark-up, suggested retail price, and promotional prices are in line with sales targets by consumption considering occasion/channel/customer.
  • Lead on customer cooler management, which ensures the productivity of product placement with the right customers and conduct follow-up on product performance by customer.
  • Provide world class service to customers and ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Support the development of product branding and innovations based on feedback information received from customers.
  • Support customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention by building relationships with customers
  • Ensures the flawless execution of the Picture of Success (PiCOS), with the main objective of ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic position for our products to be found in the proper conditions and availability to the consumer.
  • Develops and execute sales strategy by customers or cluster, to ensure trade marketing activities are carried out to increase our customer’s profits through providing guidance
  • Provide key support in developing AB customers to grow in distribution and volume within the channel.
  • Responsible for branding all promotions to maintain brand presence at all planned events.
  • Support the sales team by engaging AB customers about the company’s Innovations.
  • Provide point of sales promotional support for all outlets.
  • Maintain the measurement and evaluation process of all promotions
  • Full adherence to journey plan agreed with CCM.

 Specialized knowledge, skills and training Required:

  • Strong problem-solving analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently, with the flexibility to adapt seamlessly to rapid shifts in direction/strategy
  • Exemplary interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Service-oriented, with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to be flexible and demonstrate can-do attitude
  • MUST OWN AND OPERATE A RELIABLE MOTOR CAR

Academic qualifications and experience required for the job:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of 1-year experience working in sales and brand promotions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in an FMCG, sales/distribution/customer-focused environment an asset

 

Working Condition: (e.g. dust, dirt, heat, abnormal hours, frequent travel, overtime, etc.)

  • Predominantly 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; may be required to work outside the set work hours
  • Will be exposed to a Distribution Center & Warehouse environment, at an occasional frequency
  • Frequent to moderate walking short/long distances within the Distribution Center, Office and Warehouse areas
  • Occasional traveling requirements, CBL Head Office and Distribution Centers across the island when necessary
  • Occasional exposure to forklifts & delivery trucks within the Warehouse area
  • Expected to operate within an “open” concept office environment.
