The Data Analyst position requires an interest in market dynamics and competitive behaviour. They will be working closely with the team on determining pricing strategies, conducting market research, developing marketing strategies and time-integrated plans for new and existing product introduction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Compiling, analysing and reporting sales data
  • Monitoring and evaluating sales trends for Category Managers
  • Comparing Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual sales data and providing market trends and performance (growth/decline)
  • Analysing Monthly specials and promotions sales performance
  • Providing weekly sales updates for Product Management Team
  • Forecasting and developing sales target for Specials and promotions for each store.
  • Completing sales figures for Rebates for invoicing to suppliers
  • Preparing sell-out data for suppliers as requested by Product Management
  • Assist with Category Management Analytics (Planograms)
  • Developing weekly store sales report for stock management
  • Compiling and monitoring slow selling SKUs for rationalization
  • Tracking sales performance of consignment items
  • Report on market trends and performance (growth/decline) and sales performances of categories for Product Management
  • Assist Marketing department with:
  1. Organizing and analysing the JTA Thank You cardholder database, inclusive of corporate customers
  2. Execution and analysis of Customer Feedback Survey
  3. Interpretation of Social Media / Website/Mailchimp analytics

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a demanding environment
  • Excellent research and report writing skills
  • Strong motivational skills, especially when it comes to leading a team
  • Superior communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve problems
  • Proficiency in crafting structured, iterative prompts for AI tools
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, priorities simultaneously

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional experience in product management and/or marketing with approximately 5+ years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365

 Certification for:

  • Database Management: SQL, Oracle.
  • Data Analysis/Visualization: Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAS.

 Knowledge of the market and industry will be an asset
