To direct and coordinate the operational and financial activities of a specific division of the Guard Service Business Unit. To supervise staff in accordance with company policies, procedures and good industrial relation practices while ensuring staff development through training and coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Division’s Business Plan, aligning objectives and measurable actions with company strategy.
  • Oversee operational, administrative, and financial activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Plan, implement, and improve systems, processes, and procedures to optimize divisional operations.
  • Monitor service delivery to clients through audits, inspections, and feedback, ensuring compliance with contracts, policies, and standing orders.
  • Liaise with clients to address service issues, maintain strong relationships, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop divisional staff, managing recruitment, orientation, performance reviews, and retention.
  • Coordinate divisional budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, HSE regulations, and standards for conduct, uniform, and asset management.
  • Conduct pre-contract liaison and participate in negotiations with clients on service delivery and contract terms.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the division’s objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Security or related field
  • 8-10 years experience in the field of operations of which at least 5 years must be at a managerial or senior supervisory level
  • ASIS International – Certified Protection Professional
  • Precept holder
  • Firearm User’s Employee’s Certificate holder (FUEC)
  • Valid Driver’s Permit
  • Defensive Driving Certificate

Main Functions/Responsibilities:

 

-          Produce a Business Plan with clear objectives and defined measurable actions for delivering on Guard Service Business Unit’s Strategic Mandates.

-          Gather and assess information related to the development of a wide-range of security related events specific to the client.

-          Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the division

-          Determine and action the information received. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies, productivity and quality goals.

-          Manage the administration, operational and fiscal activities of the division

-          Coordinate the auditing of the provision of security services to clients of the company to ensure compliance with established contracts by way of physical and electronic reviews and ensure that organizational policies, procedures, goals, objectives and standing orders objectives are achieved

-          Liaises with customers on the quality of service provided by the Divisions and reviews all related reports from clients in order to monitor and correct customer satisfaction and to take appropriate action toward continuous improvement of the quality of service provided to both internal and external customers

-          Participate in developing and forecasting the divisional budget. Implement and maintain approved divisional budgets with an emphasis on achieving financial goals.

-          Direct and/or coordinate the provision of the various support services necessary to the operations of the division.

-          Direct and schedule Compliance Supervisors visits to customer locations and respond to requests for intervention based on negative comments received from Clients

-          Conduct pre-contract liaison with executives, customers, divisional managers or other heads of department and may participate in negotiating with key customers regarding the effective delivery of contract terms and conditions

-          Coordinate and implement solutions from process analysis and general divisional projects.

-          Conduct interviews, make recommendations for hiring of new staff, provide employee orientation and ensure retention in the division.

-          Prepare and/or conduct quality, finance and safety audits and take corrective action by way of implementation, reviewing data or submission of pertinent reports with recommendations based on the audit findings

-          Liaise with customers on services provided by the company, identifying existing and potential problems and implementing appropriate corrective action.

-          Ensure charges of inefficiency or neglect of duty against staff are investigated by the relevant authority, and disciplinary procedures are initiated.

-          Recommend, implement, review, and coordinate organizational policies, procedures, goals, objectives and general orders. Ensure that the company policies, procedures and work instructions are adhered to by the Division with constant review towards effective change

-          Prepare, review, and analyze reports, statistics, documents, data, and other information necessary to planning and management of the division.

-          Supervise staff in accordance with company policies, procedures and good industrial relation practises

-          Ensure the development of staff through training and coaching, with performance reviews forming the bases for development, promotion, and training

-          Establish effective means of communication among subordinate staff, support staff, present customers and potential clientsFollow HSE regulations and company guidelines as it regards to company dormitories, equipment, uniform, vehicles and client premises

-          Ensure that behavior and appearance are in compliance with establish company standards

-          Advice on career and personal development to staff; Conduct employee performance audit and establish employee goals.  Recommend merit awards for staff.

-          Exercise good asset management practices to ensure that company assets to which assigned are in proper working condition as determined by the company policy.

-          Perform all other duties as assigned.
