LARGE INSURANCE BROKER REQUIRES THE SERVICES OF A
Data Analysts turn raw numbers into clear business insight. Every part of our company — sales, underwriting, claims, credit, marketing — generates data. Your role is to collect, clean, analyze, and present that data so management can make better, faster decisions.
You will build dashboards and automated reports, work hands-on with our EPIC and CRM platforms, and partner with leaders across the company to track performance, predict client retention, and drive growth. This role involves occasional odd hours and weekend work.
We operate the only full-service online motor platform in the Caribbean (www.mibinsure.com), which generates the operational data you will analyze and manage.
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to support evidence-based decision making across the organization.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reports covering KPIs such as employee performance, client retention, daily revenue, claims, and credit performance.
- Work with Accounting and Underwriting to deliver real-time EPIC financial reports and tools.
- Administer the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and its reporting tools.
- Train and supervise technical and clerical staff in the use of the Company’s data capture systems (online platform and CRM).
- Monitor Azure Data Factory and Power Automate flows daily for accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare daily call monitoring, monthly retention, and monthly O/S certificate reports.
- Conduct Platform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in partnership with Project Officers.
- Partner with Radix Software, Applied Systems, and Freshdesk Support to produce and test scripts.
- Process confidential data in line with Company guidelines, and commission/decommission datasets as authorized by Executive Management.
- Support marketing on mass-communication systems and email campaigns.
- Assess and implement new or upgraded software; support strategic decisions on systems development.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Analytical Skills — comfortable working with large volumes of data; able to clean, prepare and analyze it to reach sound conclusions.
- Communication Skills — able to translate complex findings into clear written reports and presentations.
- Critical Thinking — able to interpret numbers, trends, and data within the context of business goals.
- Attention to Detail — precise, vigilant, and accurate in analysis.
- Math Skills — strong numerical and statistical reasoning to support predictions and recommendations.
EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
At a minimum:
- Upper Second Class Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Power Automate is an asset.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python or Java) would be an asset.
- Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Freshdesk) would be an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Data Analyst or in a related discipline.
