We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst who will join our existing team of Information Technology (IT) professionals to provide operational cybersecurity support to the business units of the Bermudez Group while maintaining all vulnerability and threat management solutions.
KEY DUTIES
Included among the responsibilities of the role are: -
- Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity risks, threats, emerging threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Managing the Group’s internal cybersecurity solutions to minimise cybersecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring of the Group’s internally managed cybersecurity solutions for risks and threats.
- Ensuring that the Group's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate cybersecurity controls as guided by our cybersecurity vendors.
- Assist the various IT Teams and/or the business units with the release and deployment of cybersecurity changes and updates to the live IT end user environment.
- Performing and reporting on vulnerability scans and other detection systems.
- Performing root cause analysis of security issues with the Group’s IT systems. · Contributing to the development of information security policy, standards and guidelines.
- Creating, updating and maintaining documentation of changes made to the Group’s IT environment.
- Assist with creating, updating and maintaining the Group’s incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Conducting Vulnerability Assessments and Risk Analysis.
- Researching and evaluating various current and emerging cybersecurity technologies which can enhance the cybersecurity posture of the Group.
DESIRED BACKGROUND/SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Technology or an equivalent accreditation together with at least four (4) years post qualification experience in a similar or related job function.
- Knowledge and skill in analysing, understanding and remediating cybersecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities in an Enterprise environment.
- Understanding of strategic objectives, imperatives, policies, procedures and perspectives of the Group IT function.
- Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, interpersonal, office management and communicative skills, working knowledge of organizational theory and practice, interpretative judgment and an understanding of the strategic and business management functions.
- Strong attention to detail.
