Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate is responsible for coordinating and managing all documentation and communication related to incoming shipments. This includes notifying customers of expected arrivals through pre-alerts, maintaining regular contact with shipping lines to obtain estimated arrival times, and corresponding with customers to provide shipment updates. The role involves preparing and submitting riders to shipping agents, generating invoices in MAGAYA, and ensuring all supporting documents such as Bills of Lading are accurately processed and shared with customers.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for entering shipment data into ASYCUDA, preparing revenue reports for accounts, confirming arrivals with agents, and coordinating delivery documentation. The position also includes monitoring container unstuffing, tracking container returns, invoicing for demurrage where applicable, and managing customer payments and receipts. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to follow up proactively with customers and agents are key to success in this role. The incumbent will also assist with general office and telephone duties as required.
