Overview: Our client is a market leader in supplying high-quality labeling solutions across multiple market sectors across the Caribbean. Due to growth, they are seeking to add a professional to the customer service team based in Barbados.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


  •  Process sales order entry by reviewing customer purchase orders for specifications such as size, dimensions, quantities, raw materials, color selection, copy position, packaging, delivery instructions, and custom requirements.
  • Identify and resolve purchase order discrepancies directly with customers.
  • Enter orders into the computerized management information system and provide customers with order acknowledgements and estimated completion timelines.
  • Monitor orders to support on-time delivery, including regular follow-ups with customers and production teams.
  • Review all sales order details and communicate accurate job information to production departments.
  • Conduct daily reviews of open orders and liaise with supervisors and managers across production to ensure accuracy and minimize errors.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the liaison between customers and sales representatives regarding order status and issues.
  • Communicate pricing information to customers and keep sales representatives updated on order activities.
  • Coordinate with sales staff to address customer complaints and initiate credit memos or billing adjustments with the Accounting Department when required.
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding customer account balances as needed.
  • Provide clear and professional communication to customers, sales teams, management, and internal staff to enhance customer satisfaction and delivery performance.
  • Perform receptionist duties periodically (e.g., lunch breaks, vacation relief, or other temporary coverage).

 

Requirements:

  • An associate degree or Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) CXC Levels to include Mathematics and English A
  • Fluent in French would be an asset.
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
