Overview: Our client is a market leader in supplying high-quality labelling solutions across multiple market sectors across the Caribbean. Due to growth in the Manufacturing/Food Processing Sectors, they are seeking to add a professional to the team based in Barbados to focus on providing high-quality service to their French Caribbean clientele.

 Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Reviews customer purchase orders for specifications.
  • Resolves any purchase order discrepancies with customer.
  • Enters orders into computerized management information system, provides customers with order acknowledgements, estimated completion time frames and follows up towards on time delivery.
  • Reviews all pertinent information on sales orders and provides accurate information to all areas of production. 
  • Conducts daily review of the Open Orders, communicates with supervisors & managers within all areas of production to ensure a positive outcome and to minimize mistakes.
  • Develops business relationships with the customer and acts as the liaison between customer and salesperson on outstanding orders.
  • Communicates price to the customer and keeps the salesperson informed of all activities pertaining to the customer orders.
  • Liaises with the salesperson on customer complaints, and issues instructions to produce credit memos/billing adjustments to the Accounting Department.
  • Assists in the collection of outstanding customer accounts balances as needed.
  • Effectively presents information to customers, salespeople, management and other employees of the organization related to maximizing, on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Assists with receptionist duties during lunch breaks, vacation relief and any other occasional periods as needed.

 Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • An associate degree or Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration or a related discipline.
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Must be fluent in French (oral and written).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven data-entry experience. 
  • Ability to interpret detailed instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Previous reception/front-desk experience would be an asset.
