Custodial Supervisor

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the company’s custodians, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of buildings and facilities.

J.T. Allum & Company Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the vacant position of Custodial Supervisor

Main Responsibilities:

Supervision and Management:

• Directing and supervising the work of custodial staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments. 

Training and Development:

• Orienting, training, and providing guidance to custodial staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment and cleaning supplies. 

Inspection and Quality Control:

• Regularly inspecting areas for cleanliness, ensuring established standards are met, and addressing any issues or deviations from those standards. 
• Assists with ensuring that specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performed and advising Management.

Inventory and Supply Management:

• Managing and maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels, and coordinating the procurement of new supplies. 

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensuring adherence to established safety procedures, infection control standards, and any relevant regulations. 

Administrative Duties:

• Handling paperwork, preparing rosters and reports, maintaining records, and managing staff performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.  

General Duties:

• Provide continuity of custodial services under emergency conditions or unique circumstances by performing custodial duties directly related to the emergency conditions or as the situation dictates.
