JN Bank Limited is seeking to recruit a dynamic, suitably qualified, and experienced individual to join our Business Banking Unit as a Credit Solutions Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the bank’s credit portfolio by conducting credit risk assessments, structuring bankable deals, and ensuring alignment with the bank’s credit policies. This role supports the origination, renewal, and ongoing monitoring of commercial and SME credit facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Credit Underwriting
- Conduct comprehensive financial and credit risk analyses for new credit applications and renewals.
- Assess the borrower’s financial health, repayment capacity, and the adequacy of proposed collateral.
- Prepare detailed, well-structured credit proposals with recommendations on terms, pricing, covenants, and conditions, ensuring alignment with JN Bank’s credit policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of credit applications in line with internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with Business Bankers to gather relevant client information and ensure strong justification for credit decisions.
Develop Credit Solutions
- Design customized, bankable credit solutions that balance the client’s business needs with the Bank’s risk appetite.
- Apply innovative structuring to mitigate credit risk while offering value-added financial products and services.
- Discuss proposed credit solutions with senior underwriters and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensure credit solutions comply with regulatory guidelines and internal controls.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, ensuring integrity and objectivity in all credit dealings.
Monitor Portfolio Quality
- Perform regular reviews of the commercial and SME loan portfolio to identify signs of deterioration or changes in risk profiles.
- Track and manage portfolio performance indicators, including delinquencies, non-performing loans, and concentration risks.
- Recommend or initiate remedial actions, such as restructuring or variations in terms, to improve the health of the portfolio.
- Monitor adherence to loan terms, covenants, and other compliance requirements across all accounts.
- Work closely with Business Bankers and Credit Risk to ensure timely follow-ups on exceptions and covenant breaches.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience OR Master’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in business credit underwriting and deal structuring.
- Strong understanding of the Banking Services Act (2014) and BOJ credit regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
