Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes, from stationary to traveling overhead cranes, and truck cranes. You will be required to hoist, move and position machinery, equipment, and other large objects at construction sites. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, good coordination, and excellent judgement to handle the equipment safely.

Operate cranes to lift, move or place equipment and materials Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes Follow all safety rules and regulations Use radio and hand signals to communicate with ground crew Determine the load weight and check it against the lifting capacity of the crane Keep and update maintenance and activity logs Resolve problems in case of a breakdown

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Previous experience operating cranes or heavy machinery is preferred. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of crane operation techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to interpret blueprints and load charts. Physical Stamina: Ability to withstand long hours of sitting and equipment vibrations, and to lift heavy loads as necessary. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and precision in all tasks, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions on the job site.
