Summary:
The Courier provides administrative support to staff within the Administration Department with a special emphasis on the hand delivery and collection of documents /packages /files within all UDeCOTT offices and any other facilities as required. The incumbent will be required to engage in extensive walking in Port-of-Spain and environs to hand-deliver documents and small packages between office locations and external recipients. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and secure transport of sensitive materials in a fast-paced office environment.
Education, Knowledge and Experience - At least 2 years’ working experience in an office environment
- Evidence of Secondary School Education or Completion
- Ensure all materials are handled with care and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and update tracking information as needed.
- Coordinate with office staff regarding delivery priorities and special handling requirements
- Knowledge of Port of Spain and environs for the hand delivery of mail/office packages
- Accompany Driver / Office Assistant when necessary
- Physically able to carry packages and commute by walking
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to multitask and carry out delivery instructions
- Ability to operate office equipment e.g. Shredder and Photocopy Machines
- Must be punctual and regular in attendance
- Must be professionally groomed and attired at all times

Key Functions & Responsibilities
- Hand delivers and collects documents/packages/files as necessary.
- Provide assistance to the Office Assistant/Driver in the delivery /transport of documents, files, packages etc.
- Provides administrative support to the Manager, Office Administration and the Senior Administrative Officer by undertaking the following duties: -
- Assists with photocopying
- Ensures that the copier is always well stocked with paper
- Assist in the maintenance of the stockroom
- Ensures that the shredding is always up to date for the Office Administration Department
- Assists in the delivery of Board and Tenders Committee packages
- Delivers mail, files, documents internally
- Delivers newspapers internally as required
- Performs any other general duties as required by Manager, Office Administration and / or Senior Administrative Officer.
