The Country Manager (Dominica) will be responsible for leading and guiding all terminal personnel in safe, efficient, reliable and incident-free operations, so as to ensure the achievement of established corporate objectives of the Company’s Dominica Branch.

The Country Manager (Dominica) will be responsible leading and guiding all terminal personnel in safe, efficient, reliable and incident-free operations, so as to ensure the achievement of established corporate objectives of the Company’s Dominica Branch.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that the distribution network for the Company’s terminal operations is adequately designed, operated, maintained and extended so as to provide a safe, reliable and economical supply of products for all customers.
  • Ensure the provision, operation and maintenance of an adequate vehicular fleet for the conduct of terminal branch operations.
  • Implement established or approved commercial strategies and market the terminal’s services so as to maximize Company productivity and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations services and practices by ensuring courteous and expeditious responses to customer requests and queries.
  • Ensure operational compliance with local statutory regulations governing the industry, the Company’s policies, procedures, industrial agreements and health/safety/environmental regulations, standards and practices.
  • Prepare operational, informational and statistical reports as required by the job junction.
  • Select, develop and monitor the utilization of the terminal’s human resources so as to create and maintain effective levels of productivity.
  • Ensure the application of the Company’s commercial, financial, human resource management, legal and safety/health/environmental policies and procedures so as to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives and standards.
  • Prepare draft budget proposals for terminal operations and administer approved budgets.
  • Ensure the security of the Company’s equipment and facilities and direct/control the activities of assigned security personnel.
  • Develop, implement and review a succession plan for the Terminal branch and advise on strategies to overcome identified gaps.
  • To be a positive model and mentor to the Terminal team by managing and developing the staff, that will ensure individual skills are enhanced and potential realized.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the job function.
