Lead UN Volunteer mobilization and partnerships across the Caribbean. This role focuses on strategic positioning, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring impactful volunteer deployment to support UN programmes in development, peace, and humanitarian contexts.

The UN Volunteers (UNV) programme is seeking a Country Coordinator to lead volunteer mobilization, partnerships, and advocacy efforts across the English and Dutch-speaking Caribbean, based in Barbados.

This role is central to positioning UNV as a strategic partner within the UN system, supporting the achievement of development, humanitarian, and peacebuilding goals through qualified volunteer talent.

 What you will do:

  • Lead volunteer mobilization strategies aligned with UN priorities
  • Build and manage partnerships with UN agencies and key stakeholders
  • Promote UNV’s value proposition and support assignment design
  • Drive talent outreach and support recruitment pipelines
  • Ensure volunteer well-being, onboarding, and duty of care
  • Lead advocacy and visibility efforts for volunteerism
  • Manage and coordinate a Multi-Country Field Unit (MCFU)

Apply if you meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years (or Master’s + 2 years) of relevant experience
  • Experience in partnerships, programme management, or international development
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
  • Experience in UN or international organizations (asset)
  • Fluency in English required
