Job Description

The Cost and Invoicing Specialist will play a critical role in managing and controlling project costs, analyzing data to ensure accuracy, and preparing invoices for clients in a timely manner. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate cost tracking.
  • Prepare and review project invoices for billing to clients.
  • Verify billing data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain billing records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in financial reporting and analysis related to project costs.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related updates and recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost management processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost engineering and project management.
  • Perform daily tasks as assigned in Elements.
  • Perform and assist in the completion of complex logistical and engineering pipe-laying projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost engineering, project controls, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, and invoicing processes.
  • Familiarity with project management software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Cost Professional) is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable and current on products and services offered by PWC.
  • Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Clean driving record and valid license required.
  • Clean police record required.
  • Familiar with company policies and able to execute tasks according to PWC engineering standards.
  • Able to work with other employees, management, and technicians to get the job done correctly and in the best interest of customers, while abiding by company policies and procedures.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly requires sitting, walking, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone and two-way radio for long periods of time.
  • Requires extended standing time exposed to the elements; work may involve direct sunlight, hot, dusty, windy, and muddy conditions.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
  • Requires safe operation of a fleet vehicle.
