A cost control analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing costs within an organization to ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

AVAILABLE POSITION:

Cost Control Analyst 

The primary role  is to identify areas of potential cost reduction, recommend cost-saving measures, and track financial performance to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and evaluate financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas of improvement.
  2. Develop and implement cost control procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure effective cost management.
  3. Monitor and track project costs, expenses, and budgets, ensuring they align with approved plans and objectives.
  4. Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial transactions, invoices, and expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to gather relevant cost data and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and analyze inventory-related costs, making recommendations for inventory optimization and reduction of carrying costs.
  7. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing, contract terms, and discounts to achieve cost savings.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to cost control and cost management techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. 
  2. Proven experience in cost control, cost analysis, or financial analysis roles.
  3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data and perform cost calculations.
  4. Proficient in using financial analysis software, spreadsheets, and database systems.
  5. Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop practical solutions.
