Cook

Hog Road Restaurant & Bar is seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to manage daily operations independently while supporting overall kitchen operations. This role requires strong prep skills, organization, and the ability to work efficiently without supervision during daytime service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to execute daily operations
• Perform heavy daily food preparation (chopping, peeling, portioning, marinating, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and full station readiness at all times
• Monitor food stock levels and assist the Kitchen Manager with inventory and grocery ordering
• Ensure strict adherence to portion control, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Inspect food quality and freshness, discarding expired or substandard items
• Maintain consistent plate presentation and quality control
• Support dinner service and special events when required
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly
• Work across all kitchen areas as required by daily demand
• Follow management instructions and complete assigned duties efficiently

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Cook
• Ability to run daily operations independently without supervision
• Strong prep skills and time management
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment
• Professional, punctual, and reliable
• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment
• Pleasant and positive personality
• Willingness to learn and maintain high standards
