JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent is mainly responsible for operating, monitoring and maintaining surveillance and vehicular tracking equipment, viewing both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behaviour, and contacting the relevant authorities when necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and operate all designated closed circuit television (CCTV) camera and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room located at the Public Transport Service Corporation Head Office (PTSC).
- Detect and report accidents, incidents and illegal activities to the relevant authorities.
- To identify, track and locate company units within Trinidad and Tobago using Global Positioning Software (GPS).
- Maintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software.
- Responsible for the principle monitoring of buses on road ways, detecting increased speed levels and operational offenses.
- Follow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV Control Room and its’ facilities.
- Submission of shift report detailing all activities and incidents with the shift.
- Responding to unscheduled delays and incidents by disseminating information to the Dispatch Desk and relevant Customer Care Representative.
- Prepare and submit reports to the relevant supervisor on a daily basis.
- Any related duties and functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five (5) O’levels (or accredited comparative) passes including Mathematics and English Language.
- Professional Certification in Security Administration, Surveillance (CCTV) or Property Protection.
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience in the protective services or a recognized security establishment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork, professionalism and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Exposure in a CCTV/ GPS Control Room and Environment would be an asset.
- Experience giving evidence before Court or tribunals on CCTV/GPS information would be considered an asset.
- Any combination of experience and academic qualifications from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
