Fantastic opportunity to work with our client in Midstream Oil & Gas for suitably qualified candidates.

Our client requires a construction supervisor to oversee various aspects of construction  activities related to liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Project Oversight: Supervising all construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards. They oversee the construction process from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  2. Team Management: Leading and managing construction teams, including subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to complete tasks efficiently. They may also handle staffing, training, and performance evaluation of construction personnel.
  3. Coordination: Coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of construction milestones. This involves regular communication, resolving conflicts, and addressing any issues that may arise during construction.
  4. Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets industry standards and project specifications. This includes conducting inspections, reviewing workmanship, and addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
  5. Safety Compliance: Enforcing safety protocols and regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. This involves conducting safety meetings, identifying hazards, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring that all workers are trained in safety protocols.
  6. Budget and Resource Management: Monitoring construction costs, materials, and equipment usage to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints. They may also be responsible for procurement activities, including sourcing materials and equipment required for construction.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection reports, and change orders. They may also prepare periodic project status reports for management and clients.
  8. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving construction-related issues, such as design discrepancies, material shortages, or scheduling conflicts, to minimize disruptions and keep the project on track.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in construction methods and practices. This may involve evaluating new technologies, implementing best practices, and learning from past projects.

Overall, the construction supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of construction activities, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Candidates would ideally possess a BSc in Construction/Engineering with certifications and training to match.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas in a similar role.
  • Hands-on approach to working
