The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. This role bridges the gap between executive management and the project team, providing management, guidance and technical direction to achieve organizational objectives as a team.

Other Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day execution of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinating project activities, staff work schedules and placement, resources, equipment and information between staff, senior management and stakeholders.
  • Developing detailed project plans, work breakdown structures and schedules.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Communicating project status updates, progress reports and any issues to staff, management and stakeholders (where applicable).
  • Supervising and mentoring project team members, ensuring alignment with company standards and safety protocols.
  • Managing subcontractors, vendors and any external partners to ensure quality and timely delivery to the customer.
  • Reviewing and approving project documentation, deliverables and technical drawings as needed.
  • Monitoring project costs and preparing financial reports in coordination with accounting
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performing ad hoc duties and special projects when required;
  • Any other duties applicable to the level of the position as required by whom the position reports;

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, supervision and/or management roles.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Capable of maintaining effective working relationships with staff at all levels;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • A mature self-motivator who can work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks with a commitment to meeting deadlines;

 Working Conditions:

  • Full-time / Permanent position
  • May require occasional evening, weekend or site work depending on project needs.
  • Home Office and field-based environment; daily travel to project sites is required
