Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Kannikona Mechanical Construction Coordinator with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Overview / Responsibilites
Work with Construction Engineer, Construction Lead to develop Front end planning and other project deliverables.
Ensure work packs are closed off in system upon site work completions.
Take part in constructability reviews in design to develop construction methodology.
Lead Site Readiness activities in Site Readiness phase of scope Coordinate L4 Schedule/ Permits/IDP’s in BP P6, Coordinate Contractor verification of equipment/function testing, Coordinate receiving material,
Coordinate Bagging and Tagging, Coordinate Shop fabrication, Coordinate Pre-mob inspections,
Coordinate flight/boat plans, Update POB plans, Coordinate logistic plans, Coordinate MO approvals,
Ensure risk register is updated and actions closed, Lead Simops plan, Coordinate equipment & resources matrix approvals, Coordinate operation/leak testing procedures, Coordinate commissioning plans and procedures, Lead 6 wks. readiness approvals, Lead 3 wks. readiness approvals.
Lead constructability input to the design and direction in the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, test and pre-commissioning of on/offshore facilities equipment, to ensure compliance with the agreed scopes of work and project schedule.
Lead Construction engineering support to construction and commissioning activities.
Execute CRR, execute engineering phase WRA, Develop Construction scopes, POB Plans, L4 Schedule Inputs, Site Visits, Review REV C BOM, Review REV C drawings.
Participate in execution contractor engagement.
Handover from Functional Readiness to Site Readiness
Participate in client kick off meetings to understand scope.
Develop job cards and work pack.
Maintain the required technical quality of work.
Lead several small modifications and 2 or more Cat C scopes at the same time without difficulty.
Supervises all areas on small projects or a subset / discipline area on moderate-sized projects.
Carry out performance management of site execution and preforms look ahead to ensure workflow seamlessly to site.
Analyze data from PCT to improve construction execution efficiencies.
Ensure as far as practically possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
Ensure all PIMS are completed to achieve SH1.
Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned discipline / subset of on-site construction.
Utilize Change management processes to capture variations effectively.
Responsible for construction and contractor related deliverables.
Responsible for management and execution of a single field discipline or a subset of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company’s operating policies and principles.
Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project.
Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.
Coordinate the construction and commissioning contractors with the preparation of their plans and procedures assuring they are both achievable and technically acceptable in-line with the project and legislative requirements.
Ensure site readiness checks are carried out using Go No/Go (2 wks. WRA)
Conduct SV’s on-site execution to ensure work is happening according to plans produced.
Lead the co-ordination between engineering, construction, and completion teams for construction planning deliverables for execution phase of the work.
Producing visual aids to help explain the schedule of work, including bar charts, network diagrams and histograms.
Use R2S to plan onsite work and model construction sequencing to optimize schedule to gain onsite efficiencies
Liaising with individuals on the project (who may be in another office) via video conference.
Ensuring that all the separate elements of the project fit together and are working towards a common aim Identifying the best series of events in the correct order for the project to finish on time and on budget.
Adherence to Massy Wood’s company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Engineering from a recognised university
25+ years’ experience in the Oli and Gas industries
Must have s background in construction planning.
Seasoned field construction professional holding various senior roles
At least 20 years’ experience in a Project/ Construction management role.
Good understanding of the basic principles of Project/ Construction Management.
Good general understanding of Cost Management, Planning and Change Control.
Experience in the oil & gas industry.
High degree of Computer Literacy.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to provide direction to and supervise others.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to work in a Team environment.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to work well with external and internal customers
Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
