JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you are primarily responsible for managing and monitoring independence violation data, supporting reporting and independence violation communication efforts, and contributing to process improvements, including technology projects. You will provide project management assistance for the Risk Management Team (RRT) and work closely with onshore employees and senior management to assist with special or time-sensitive projects as they arise and ensure the effective execution of tasks related to auditor independence rules and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for self-education and continuous training with respect to the RRT processes and tools, and auditor independence rules, regulations and US firm policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
•Own, maintain, and update independence violation data within SharePoint multiple times a week based on discussions in daily and weekly meetings
•Monitor the queue for engagement and covered person independence violation matters, assisting with violation intake and following up with engagement teams or field professionals
•Assist with the development and issuance of independence violation sanction communications
•Conduct basic independence technical research as directed by the onshore team to provide technical guidance
•Provide support for quarter-end activities, periodic reporting, and reconciliations
•Own and maintain the team's Action Items log, tracking all tasks and RAC priority projects from identification through to completion and reporting on their status
•Assist with reporting requests from other teams in RMAI, RMC, LRMC, or functional leadership, and the PCAOB
•Contribute to the development of AI tools for the automation of independence violation documentation and reporting
•Assist with periodic reviews of SoQC documentation, including updates from the implementation of QC 1000
•Respond to requests from DPP and internal audit testing teams on a recurring basis
•Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation with executed tasks, processes and projects that contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of the team
•Provide ad hoc support in preparing for leadership or group meetings
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
•Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant work experience
•Knowledge of auditor independence rules and regulations is preferred
•Experience with reporting and automation tools such as Microsoft CoPilot, PowerBI, Power Apps and Power Automate a plus
•Experience in public accounting is a plus
•Solid verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgement skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
•Ability to work independently and work well within a team.
•Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines.
•Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in tracking inquiries and maintaining documentation.
•Comfortable supporting knowledge management strategies and leveraging technology for process efficiency.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SharePoint and knowledge management tools preferred.
