Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Completions & Preservation for our Trinidad Office with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Overview / Responsibilites

Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Completions & Preservation with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

  • Evaluate the quality/construction/commissioning certification requirements for brownfield installations and modifications, to ensure all criteria are satisfied for mechanical completions, commissioning, start-up and handover.
  • Evaluate through Internal Audit program the compliances of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Departments where necessary.
  • Ensure that the CMS application Completions Management System, is implemented in accordance with identified quality requirements for Construction and Commissioning and all necessary supporting documentation are in place and in compliance with the Quality requirements as well as client project objectives.
  • Ensure that the CMS application Preservation Management System, and all necessary supporting documentation are in place and in compliance with the requirements of Wood Construction / Commissioning Services, Quality requirements as well as client project objectives.
  • Monitoring of the review, distribution and revision of procedures and processes.
  • Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of the Company’s quality management system, client guidance practices and standards.
  • Coordinate, supervise and manage the overall QA/QC support activities to Construction and technical support teams.
  • Coordinate, supervise and manage the overall Preservation Plan, ensuring all activities meet vendor, Client and Wood Quality requirements and frequencies.
  • Supporting with the client Quality representatives in order to address Quality topics.
  • Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and the customers contract specializations.
  • Coordination with Construction and Operations for the management of commissioning interfaces, to ensure transfer of care, custody and control through execution to project start-up.
  • Coordination with Warehouse and Quality personnel for coverage of all Preservation active and passive preservation requirements.
  • Review of engineering documentation to support the development of Commissioning Plans, Procedures and Strategies.
  • Review of all preservation and maintenance requirements for engineered packages, materials and equipment to ensure no gaps.
  • Development of Preservation Work Lists on the Preservation Management / CMS system to and Preservation / Maintenance Schedules to capture all active preservation or planned maintenance requirements at the required frequency.
  • Interface with the Commissioning Lead regarding Preservation Requirements / Certification Requirements for Mechanical Completion, pre‐commissioning, commissioning, and handover.
  • Development of Preservation and Certification Report and coordination of interface meetings with all relevant parties.
  • Ensure Preservation Requirements are included at the MR stage (Criticality Ranking, Certification, PSTS requirements).
  • Review vendor documents for conformance against MR requirements for engineered purchases.
  • Provides technical assistance to package Engineers as it relates to Quality Assurance of engineered purchases.
  • Supports TIV data capture and reporting

Qualifications

Education & Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in the field of Engineering or related discipline.
  • Certification in Quality (must be based on ISO 9001) from a recognised Institution. (e.g. CQE or higher)- mandatory.
  • Certified Lead Quality Auditor certification from a recognised Quality Professional Body 

Competencies & Experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge and experience leading audits on Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001:2008
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively and prioritize in a high performance, fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Inspires and motivates others to work well and accepts feedback.
  • Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
