Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group HR and People Experience team in the capacity of:
Compensation Officer (Grade 3)
Manage and provide assistance with compensation activities for Sagicor Group.
Provide administrative support to the Manager – Compensation at a level that will enhance the effective operation of the Compensation Unit and the achievement of its goals and objectives.
Location: Kingston
As a Compensation Officer, you will:
- Manage the compensation activities for contract team members.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payroll adjustments for all contract team payrolls. This includes the creation of the respective master files and varying calculations.
- Maintain salary database.
- Prepare annual salary adjustments & advance on productivity payments for eligible contract team members.
- Provide salary package recommendations upon request from Group Human Resources.
- Provide calculations for honoraria and acting assignments upon request.
- Prepare salary related calculations for separating team members as per the termination checklist.
- Perform quarterly audits to ensure separated team members are removed from the payroll.
- Assist with quarterly vacation leave valuation reports.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, Management Studies, or other degree in a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in Human Resources, Accounting or Finance.
- Basic knowledge of Labour Relations Laws and Industrial Relations practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Excellent human relations skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to produce reports
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLook Up and complex formulae)
