The Communication Officer, International Relations is required to provide support in implementing the Commission’s global engagement strategy.
A. Job Summary
The Communication Officer, International Relations is required to provide support in implementing the Commission’s global engagement strategy by assisting with international outreach, research and coordination activities. This role helps maintain relationships with international regulatory bodies, monitors global securities trends, and supports compliance with international standards, contributing to cross-border cooperation and market strategy.
B.Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Assists the Director, External Affairs and Communication and the Senior Communication Officer, International Relations with the following:
- Researching global securities developments and prepare accurate reports/briefs on global trends for senior officers.
- Drafting briefing notes, communiqués, and correspondence for internationals and regional engagements.
- Supporting the organization in international meetings, conferences and delegations, including logistics and documentation.
- Maintaining records of international agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, and engagements.
- Monitoring and summarizing communications from IOSCO and other international organizations for internal review.
- Assisting in preparing proposals and position papers on issues related to international standards and cooperation.
- Coordination with internal divisions/departments to ensure timely responses to international requests.
- Providing administrative and technical support for capacity-building initiatives and knowledge-sharing programs.
- Contributing to planning and reporting on international and regional activities.
- Represents the Commission at conferences and seminars.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
C. Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations or a related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience in a related discipline.
- Multilingual ability will be an asset.
- Any relevant combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
