Massy Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
Overview / Responsibilites
Play an active role in maintaining a strong safety culture in commissioning team
Ensure all commissioning data, documentation and handovers are in accordance with Completions process and project procedures and quality plans
Prepare for and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as required
Support in the development of Commissioning Systemization Plans and determining the limits of system handover
Development and execution of System Commissioning Procedures, System Commissioning Workpacks and Performance Testing Requirements / Procedures
Review Client and vendors commissioning requirements, plans and procedures
Support the Commissioning Lead with the development of the overall Commissioning Strategy and provide input to the Commissioning Execution Plan
Preparation of detailed E&I test plans, procedures, pre-commissioning checklists, work instructions, JSA’s, etc. as necessary for commissioning activities
Manage and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing activities at site and conduct inspection and testing verification according to ITRs and ITPs
Coordinate contractor, subcontractor and vendor activities associated with pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance monitoring
Support HAZID / HAZOP, constructability and readiness reviews to ensure adequate considerations for operability and maintenance and to ensure efficient commissioning and handover
Support Commissioning Lead / Certification Specialist with the development of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System ITRs and the management of the Completions Management database at site
Input to schedule development, defining execution risks in general, and critical path specific risks during shutdowns
Interface with Construction and Operations Teams during commissioning, start-up and final handover of the facility / plant
Support the Commissioning Lead, Construction and PMT in the delivery and management of all aspects of mechanical completion, PSSR and RFSU processes.
Contributes to discipline elements of FEED scopes and provide commissioning input during design phase.
Contributes to bid submissions for respective discipline, including proposals and CTR estimates.
Contributes to the P6 plan and timely progress reporting for respective discipline.
Contributes to and engages with the Risk Register.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited university.
Competencies & Experience:
Typically a minimum of 8 years’ minimum relevant experience in the O&G industry.
Conversant with the completions / commissioning process
Ability to understand / project specifications, procedures and drawings
Thorough understanding of the principles of installation, testing, pre - commissioning, commissioning and general O&M of plant equipment and components
Ability to identify PTW requirements and complete associated method statements / risk assessments for the safe execution of work scope
Ability to demonstrate understanding of safe working practices and procedures and their implementation
Ability to work to deadlines in an accurate consistent and structured manner
Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to other team members
Ability to follow / comply with procedures and recognized working practices
Ability to plan the work and coordinate the team in execution of the task
IT Literate in major software packages (Word / Excel)
Valid Certificate of Good Character (must not be older than 6 months).
Preference will be given to national citizens or permanent residents of Trinidad & Tobago.
