Commercial Officer

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Officer to support our business operations by managing contracts, analyzing market trends, and ensuring revenue growth. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, financial acumen, and a passion for driving commercial success.

Goddard Catering Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the team in the capacity of Commercial Officer based at our Kingston location.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development and execution of the Company’s commercial strategy, with a focus on revenue growth, client retention, and market expansion.

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, pricing benchmarks, and opportunities for service enhancement and differentiation.

• Collaborate with the HDQ Marketing Team to plan and execute targeted campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning initiatives aligned to business objectives.

• Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, tenders, and RFP responses for both new and existing clients, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with client requirements.

• Support contract negotiations by providing commercial insights, pricing structures, and service considerations to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

• Monitor and analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and key performance indicators, providing regular reports and actionable recommendations to management

• Provide exceptional client service, proactively addressing concerns, resolving issues, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

• Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and new revenue streams to strengthen the Company’s market presence and competitive position

ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a commercial or sales role within the catering industry or a similar industry
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
