Commercial Manager

A company in the manufacturing sector in Jamaica is seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager to provide strategic leadership across sales, trade marketing, and business development functions. This is a senior management role responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and brand visibility within a competitive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and volume targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, channels, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance targets
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product offerings meet market and customer needs
  • Develop and manage sales budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee trade marketing initiatives to support commercial and brand development objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, OSHA requirements, and group policies
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing or a similar discipline would be an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or construction-related environment
  • Proven experience in sales management, planning, and budgetary control
  • Experience within paint, building materials, or related industries is an asset
