Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services- Revenue Operations & Payments team in the capacity of:
Co-op Audit and Research Associate
(Grade 2)
Review processed Co-op bills to perform quality assurance checks.
Research, track and assess productivity based on error rating.
Ensure accuracy of Co-op payments based on documented guidelines and best practices to ensure highest standard of efficiency and client satisfaction.
Location: Kingston
As a Co-op Audit and Research Associate, you will:
- Perform weekly reviews of 10% – 15% of co-ops updated by each processor to assess accuracy and completeness of payments.
- Review co-op suspense balances to ensure sufficiency and to prevent undue delay of Co-op payments when and if an anomaly is presented.
- Facilitate the digital reconciliation of Co-op files for both Cayman/Jamaica.
- Advise supervisor/team leader as soon as electronically reconciliated files have been completed and become available for processing.
- Approve and input journal vouchers and cheque requisition daily.
- Assist with identifying and coding E-Payments in the SLJ main accounts for receipting to the various Co-op sub accounts.
- Prepare weekly payroll for temporary (PFP) employees.
- Prepare monthly reports for submission to the Supervisor within 3 business days at the beginning of each month.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation.
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience, preferably within the Insurance Industry.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Excellent human relations and time management skills.
- Customer-service oriented.
- Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
