Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue Operations & Payments team in the capacity of:

Co-op Assistant (Contract)

Update computer records with information from salary deduction forms and process salary deducted payments.

Monitor the mailbox for Individual Life Insurance listings and payments confirmations and update SharePoint with the relevant documents.

 Prepare journal vouchers and execute manual updates on CAPSIL.

Location: Kingston

As a Co-op Assistant, you will:

• Process all requests for change in method of payment to Salary Deduction options.
• Process refunds and transfers from Unprocessed and Unidentified Suspense accounts.
• File all Journal Vouchers and Requisitions within the stipulated timeframes.
• Prepare monthly reports for all refunds/ transfers processed within the stipulated timeframes.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Minimum of six (6) CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
• Completion of LOMA (Parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designations would be an asset.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience including one (1) year in an operations division of a financial institution.
• Sound human relations and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
