The incumbent will be responsible for the continuous efficiency and effectiveness of all store operations, ensuring productivity and the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily store operations ensuring efficiency, compliance with company policies, and creating a positive customer experience.
  • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining processes, reducing downtime, and improving turnaround on tasks.
  • Monitor and manage staff productivity to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Make data driven decisions to improve club performance and forecast demand by analysing customer feedback, purchasing trends and other market statistics.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively, including facility problems, logistics delays, or interdepartmental coordination challenges.
  • Recruit, select, train, coach and mentor retail staff, creating a culture of high-performance and excellent customer service.
  • Facilitate smooth interdepartmental execution of store plans, promotions, and seasonal transitions by coordinating communication and support across teams.
  • Lead store readiness for opening, closing, and peak traffic periods, ensuring all zones are clean, safe, and fully operational.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards through routine inspections and training.
  • Create and implement strategies that optimize inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales floor layout.
  • Manage vendor relationships and maintenance schedules for store equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage store budgets, establish cost control strategies to improve profitability by monitoring key financial metrics.
  • Capable of working weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Inventory management software, such as Oracle Retail or SAP Retail,
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Knowledge of communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong issue resolution skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SMS, CRM systems and ERP software.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, logistics, and cross-department coordination.
  • Experience managing productivity in high-volume retail or warehouse settings.
  • Ability to monitor stock levels, manage replenishment, and minimising wastage.
  • Ability to analyse business data, interpreting sales figures, customer demographics, and operational costs.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of standing / walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in varied indoor environments including warehouse and cooler areas.

 Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration will be an asset.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in retail operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in membership-based or multi-unit or high-volume stores is preferred.
