Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer Position Summary: The Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing Mayberry’s hybrid IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on AWS and Azure cloud services, including Microsoft D365 environments. This role leads the cloud and infrastructure roadmap, designs reference architectures for critical platforms (such as D365/Azure, CRM, onboarding, trading/OMS, and analytics), and ensures infrastructure is stable, scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Operating within a regulated financial services environment, the role drives modernization initiatives while maintaining strong governance, resilience, and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design, manage, and optimize Mayberry’s hybrid infrastructure across on-premises, AWS, and Azure environments to ensure availability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Administer and secure enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and cloud connectivity.
- Lead cloud architecture, migration, and modernization initiatives, defining reference architectures for platforms such as Microsoft D365, CRM, trading/OMS, onboarding, and analytics systems.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and CI/CD integration to enable consistent, repeatable, and auditable infrastructure deployments.
- Own cloud financial management (FinOps), including cost allocation, optimization, and reporting across cloud environments.
- Embed security-by-design across infrastructure, including IAM governance, network security, vulnerability management, and secrets/key management.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, supporting DR/BCP testing and regulatory examinations.
- Build and maintain monitoring and observability capabilities, including logging, metrics, alerting, and performance monitoring.
- Lead infrastructure incident response, root-cause analysis, and remediation in collaboration with compliance, risk, and business teams.
- Provide Tier 3 support, mentor junior team members, and act as technical owner for key infrastructure vendors and partners.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience & Competencies: - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- AWS certification required (Solutions Architect or SysOps)
- Azure (AZ-104 / AZ-305) and Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) certifications preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 2 years in cloud-focused roles
- Proven experience operating in hybrid cloud and regulated or mission-critical environments
- Strong expertise in AWS and Azure platforms, including infrastructure, networking, identity, and monitoring services
- Deep understanding of network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation tools, and CI/CD integration
- Experience supporting containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS/AKS)
- Strong security mindset with experience in IAM governance, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
- Solid understanding of high-availability, disaster recovery, and operational resilience
- Demonstrated ability in cloud cost management (FinOps) and resource optimization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including engagement with auditors, regulators, vendors, and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement
