Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations team in the capacity of:

 

Client Service Representative - 
New Brunswick (Grade 3)

 

Ensure clients are greeted and assisted in a courteous, timely and efficient manner while delivering a high standard of professional client care, including value-added after-sales service.

 

Be effective and efficient in managing transactions and queries, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and in keeping with the Bank’s Service Standards and Service Level Agreement.

 

Assist management with events that can deepen client loyalty and goodwill, as well as actively cross-sell the Group’s products and services to existing clients.

 

 

Location: St. Catherine

 

As a Client Service Representative, you will:

 

  • On-board new and existing clients with strict adherence to the minimum standard guidelines.
  • Open and close accounts namely, Savings Accounts, Current Accounts and Certificate of Deposits.
  • Ensure all mandatory checks are completed to achieve Know Your Customers (KYC) and POCA requirements.
  • Perform account maintenance functions such as addition of name, reactivation of dormant account, address change etc.
  • Prepare client request letters and certification of balance.
  • Maintain awareness and adequate knowledge of all bank products.
  • Inform clients about appropriate products and services to satisfy needs.
  • Assist with the daily clearing of the Quick Deposit Box.
  • Service ABM daily.
  • Process non-cash transactions.
  • Signing Officer for drafts, managers cheque and other instruments within assigned Delegated Limits of Authority (DLA).
  • Participate in promotional campaigns by representing the bank at networking and client events to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
  • Adhere to computer security policies and procedures as it relates to, protection of passwords, exposure of the system to viruses and improper usage of the bank’s computer system and Data Protection.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Degree in Business Management or a relevant discipline.
  • Formal Training in Client Relationship Management is an asset.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in Sales or Selling techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Knowledge of retail banking operations would be a distinct advantage.
  • Client-centric with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good communications skills – oral and written.
  • Aptness and ability to administer resolution to clients’ complaint.
  • Ability to anticipate clients’ needs and respond by exceeding those expectations.
  • Knowledge of the bank’s core operating systems and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA), Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism/Proliferation Policies.
  • Strong selling & negotiating skills.
  • Adept at resolving conflicts and skilfully handling disgruntled clients.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.
  • High levels of self-motivation.
