Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations team in the capacity of:

 

 

 

Client Care Officer - Hope Road 

 

 

Act as the first point of contact for the clients by welcoming and directing them based on their needs, relationship preference and available service options.

 

Support branch management by monitoring the service delivery at the branch ensuring that a high standard of professional service, including value – added after -sales service, is always delivered.

 

Monitor client traffic to ensure that wait times are kept to a minimum. Listen for opportunities and make recommendations including making referrals or proposing other channels to meet client needs.

 

 

 

Location: Kingston 

 

 

 

As a Client Care Officer, you will:

 

  • Provide superior service through greeting and directing walk-in clients to the appropriate branch personnel.
  • Achieve assigned cross sell and referral targets by opportunity spotting and educating clients about appropriate products and services to satisfy needs.
  • Manage cheque deposit boxes to ensure efficiency in clearing.
  • Conduct verification processes for cheque deposit envelopes and night deposit logs.
  • Print interim statements.
  • Perform cheque book custodian duties by processing cheque book requests and maintaining on systems when received.
  • Assist with daily recording of all returned cheques.
  • Provide relief for Client Service Representatives as the need arises.
  • Assist the operations team with daily close of business activities.
  • Be fully aware of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and adhere to regulations without deviation.
  • Adhere to Sagicor’s Code of Ethics.
  • Adhere to the Computer Security Policy and procedures in particular: protection of passwords, exposure of the system to viruses and improper usage of the Bank’s computer system.
  • Ensure that an adequate number of brochures and other promotional materials are always available in the Banking Hall.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.

 

 

What do you need?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a customer service environment.
  • Training in customer service would be an asset.
  • Prior experience in a commercial bank would be a distinct advantage.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of computer software packages particularly Microsoft excel and Microsoft word applications.
  • Knowledge of the requisite Bank policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
  • Knowledge of the Bank’s Code of Ethics and Services Standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of motivation and excellent organizational skills.
