Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares deposit for re-insurance company by the 1st of each month to secure benefits
  • Generate insurance listing for insurance companies ensuring that the members' plans are reflected as purchased for both member and spouse.
  • Prepares insurance calculation and make balance of payment to the insurance companies by the 15th of each month
  • Collects, sorts and checks membership application and upgrading forms for accuracy against submission listings prepared by each branch.
  • Verify information on membership application and upgrading forms to ensure that Customer Service Representatives, Business Development Officers, etc. have captured all the relevant and correct information.
  • Sorts and arranges salary deduction listing in the order of Ministry, Bursar and Reallocation, and ensure that all submissions to the Ministry of Education (MOE) are sent done by the 3rd working day in the new month.
  • Creates Cancellation Listing for Ministry Paid members monthly and provide update of the status of these members.
  • Prepares and sends letters to MOE members for non-payment of premiums and loans monthly.
  • Prepares Certificate of Membership as requested by members, branches and/or Business Development Officers
  • Assist with checking off documents submitted for re-insurance death claims.
  • Process maternity, sickness, accident, student, and death claims as required.
  • Assist with checking off Certificate of Membership (COM):  Checking to ensure that the information on the certificate corresponds with that on the form.
  • Ensure all documents are filed accurately
  • Attends to members enquiries
  • Log all forms/files submitted to Filing Room
  • Any other tasks assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Certificate in Supervisory Management
  • 3 years’ experience in a financial institution, particularly in a branch environment
