Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Claims Management- Manual Payment team in the capacity of:

Claims Processor (Contract)

(Grade 2)

Accurately adjudicate and issue payments for claims up to the authorized limit.

Location: Kingston

As a Claims Processor, you will:

• Input information related to the processing of all health claims including provider number, service, diagnosis codes and approve assigned categories of claims.
• Assist in screening claims for eligibility to ensure that members are eligible for coverage.
• Initiate payment of claims.
• Report all questionable claims or claims with unusually high charges.
• Prepare productivity reports for submission to Supervisor.
• Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• A minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC (General Proficiency) or GCE (Ordinary) level, including English Language and Mathematics.
• HIA Parts 1 & 2.
• At least one (1) years’ experience working in a financial institution.
• Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
• Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
• Good time management and customer relations skills
• Basic knowledge of medical terminologies.
• Working knowledge of Group Life and Health Insurance operations.
